{"id":140,"date":"2019-02-20T03:28:43","date_gmt":"2019-02-20T03:28:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/alisonmccallum.ca\/?p=140"},"modified":"2022-01-02T21:35:06","modified_gmt":"2022-01-02T21:35:06","slug":"a-whole-new-personality","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alisonmccallum.ca\/?p=140","title":{"rendered":"A whole new personality"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I am trained as a practitioner in the Meyers-Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI), a tool that is widely used in all kinds of industries and sectors to help people understand their innate personality and how it is expressed. I call this how a person &#8220;shows up&#8221; in the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My MBTI profile has been all over the map since 1997 when I first took the assessment, but I feel it that the INTJ I revealed last fall is my best fit type. And then last week I swapped out my I (introversion) for and E (extroversion). Apparently, I can masquerade as a extravert REALLY well (I think that&#8217;s a skill in itself!). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It turns out, I am showing up in the world now in the extroverted way I need to in order to do my best work at this moment in time. To get this website going and find clients, I need to put myself out there; to make changes happen at work, I have to get buy-in from my colleagues and that means doing more thinking out loud, and more socializing. My truly ENTJ colleague tells me I&#8217;ll enjoy trips to the staff room but I know that what I really get out of it is the jitters, and not just from the coffee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What&#8217;s your type?
